Complaints and Appeals Procedure

The "Casting Processes" journal strives to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and adheres to the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and provides a transparent procedure for reviewing complaints, appeals, and possible ethical violations both before and after publication. We thoroughly investigate any allegations of violations.

Complaints and Appeals Procedure

Complaints related to editorial decisions, review, publication ethics, or possible violations should be directed to the Editor-in-chief, who will review the matter in accordance with the COPE recommendations. If necessary, the case may be referred to the publisher - “Academperiodics” Publishing House.

If significant errors or ethical violations are found in an already published article, the journal will publish a correction or retraction with an appropriate explanation from the authors or the editorial board. Retractions are used only in cases where it is necessary to maintain scientific integrity.

Appeals of editorial decisions

Authors may file an appeal if they believe that their manuscript was rejected unreasonably. The appeal must contain a reasoned justification and be addressed to the Editor-in-chief, who will involve the editorial board or external reviewers if necessary. The final decision will be made based on the results of the re-consideration.

Filing complaints or appeals

To file a complaint or appeal, you must send the relevant document to E-mail: plit.periodical@gmail.com , indicating in the subject line that the relevant appeal is being sent to the Editor-in-chief.

If the issue is not resolved at the editorial level, it can be sent to the director of the PTIMA of the NAS of Ukraine, or to the “Academperiodics” Publishing House.

All complaints and appeals will be confirmed within ten working days and applicants will receive updates on the progress of their consideration. The editorial board strives to resolve the issue as transparently and professionally as possible.

Procedure for violations investigating violations

Complaints may be filed by authors, reviewers, or readers. Upon receipt of complaints, the editorial board conducts a preliminary assessment and, if warranted, initiates an investigation, which includes an analysis of the evidence provided, interviews with the individuals involved, and an assessment of compliance with academic standards.

Confidentiality

All investigations are conducted confidentially to protect all parties involved. Information about the investigation and its results will not be disclosed publicly until the procedure is complete, except when necessary to maintain academic integrity.

Sanctions

Sanctions for violations may include retraction of the article, publication of corrections or clarifications, and notification of the case to appropriate academic or professional organizations, as well as notification of the institutions to which the individuals involved belong. Authors who have committed serious violations may be prohibited from submitting articles to the journal in the future.

Appeals

Authors and other involved parties are given the right to appeal decisions made during the investigation by submitting additional documents or requests for review.
